Description
Who jumps at the chance to sit down and have a candid conversation about death? Very few. The word death, in itself, can be off-putting. But, normalizing the conversation helps families and loved ones prepare, find peace, and live fully and intentionally before it’s too late. The Price Girls are four sisters who were blessed with a mother who recognized the need to have the conversation and introduced the topic of death very early in their lives.
These conversations became a general topic that unknowingly, at the time, set the tone for how they would ultimately learn how to cope with death and the emotions associated with it, and live as if there is no tomorrow. After their mother’s cancer diagnosis, the girls made it a priority to be with her throughout her final transition. It is during that time; they made a pact to write a book as a tribute to her honoring the many lessons she taught them about living AND death.
This book provides four different stories from Margie’s girls. Each story takes you on a journey through the lens of each girl as she shares her perspective on death and dying. These stories are based on the teachings of their mother and their time with her during her transition and beyond. While different, these stories are closely interwoven to capture the lessons learned through death – and living. Cherishing Life Until the End: Memoirs of a Mother’s Journey Home also serves as a prompt to assist its readers with having necessary conversations before it’s too late.
